JA Job Shadow

10-12 volunteers, office-based, sponsorship opportunity

Your workplace would host a class of 20-30 students from 10:00am to 1:30pm including lunch, provide a workplace tour, allow students to visit and observe professional work conduct, and lead challenges/activities that bring home lessons from the world of work.

JA Finance Park Mobile

20 volunteers per day, multiple locations/dates

Middle and High School students dive into a persona-based financial simulation supported by volunteers who guide participants through a variety of budgeting and spending opportunities. Volunteers, with ongoing support of JA staff and provided materials, lead students as they explore personal finance, education, family, business, income scenarios, and how they all tie together to create the type of lifestyle a student sees for themself.

JA Company Program Host Site

Company Partnership, Year-round cycle, office-based, program fee required

Mentor and host a cohort of high school students as they brainstorm, launch, and run their own business! Contact Stuart Younger to learn more about this signature experience and how you can get involved in the 2025-26 program while we plan your company's full participation in 2026-27 school year!

Become a JA Coach

6-12 sessions, Individual or Small Group opportunity

The power of coaching is a critical tool in developing the potential of young adults. This initiative, for youth between 16 and 21 who have a barrier to work/school, deploys age-appropriate workforce readiness resources that lead participants directly into a job or a career-focused educational or training program.

K-12 Learning Experiences

Elementary

Young kids are the best. If you have a child in elementary school and want to share your experiences while presenting multimedia financial education and enjoy working with younger kids, contact JA of Southeastern Pennsylvania to learn more about volunteering with JA!

Middle School

Middle School students are the best. Volunteering with kids can be so much fun but it helps when those students are more engaged and curious about the future and the kind of jobs that exist. If you enjoy working with kids, contact JA of Southeastern Pennsylvania to learn more about volunteering with JA.

High School

Young adults are the best. If you enjoy working with kids that are ready to tackle the world but are looking for the paths to be opened up to them and are fascinated by innovation and entrepreneurship, contact JA of Southeastern Pennsylvania to learn about volunteering with JA.
