Workforce Readiness Foundations

Where: In Philadelphia

Direct middle school students through activities to guide them in building a personal brand, self-reflection, exploring career opportunities and goal setting.  Emphasis is on foundational work readiness skills such as critical thinking and problem-solving.  Present three (3) 45-minute workshops to a class of middle school students.  All student worksheets, talking points and on-screen presentations are provided!

The Junior Achievement of Southeastern PA Team will be holding our annual JA Rising Women event on October 30th, 2024, at the Community College of Philadelphia. JA Rising Women empowers high school students through a transformative learning and coaching experience - encouraging students to explore all career possibilities, inspiring them to dream big, and preparing them to succeed.

JA offers opportunities to engage and volunteer for half day and one day , interacting directly with middle schoolers in their classrooms, focusing on Work Readiness Foundations.

Join JA of Southeastern PA this school year as we partner with Mastery Charter School Network and the School District of Philadelphia's CTE program to bring career exposure experiences to their young people. This opportunity is for groups only in your office, between November and April.

Elementary

Middle School

Middle School students are the best. Volunteering with kids can be so much fun but it helps when those students are more engaged and curious about the future and the kind of jobs that exist.
